Vietnam – EFTA Free Trade Agreement Officially Signed

On 18 October 2026 in Hanoi, Vietnam and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) — comprising Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein — signed a comprehensive Free Trade Agreement.
The agreement covers trade in goods and services, investment, rules of origin, intellectual property, government procurement, trade and sustainable development, and support for SMEs. It aims to reduce or eliminate customs duties, facilitate trade, and create a more predictable environment for businesses on both sides.
For Vietnamese exporters, this opens stronger access to EFTA markets. For European companies, it provides a clearer pathway to source from and invest in Vietnam.
At Crescent Global, we support both directions:
– Helping Vietnamese agricultural and industrial products reach international buyers
– Assisting foreign companies with market entry, FDI setup, legal compliance, and operations in Vietnam
Whether you are looking to expand exports under the new FTA or enter the Vietnamese market, our team is ready to support you.
